Brief History

Founded in 1919 , St, Thomas Academy was originally named St.Thomas College. St Thomas Academy is

recognized as one of the active members of the Unified Schools of Archiocese of Lipa (USAL) with its Executive

Director Rev. Fr. Carlo Magno C. Ilagan as Superintendent,Rev Fr. Miguel L. Samaniego as the new School Director

, Mrs Amelia L. Mendoza as a principal.As the School Administration aim to uplift the quality of education in St.

Thomas Academy, the school was able to improve the facilities and design the Faculty & Staff Development

program to give a holistic formation for the students. In June 2008, new concrete four-storey building was

constructd to replace the two storey wooden building.It was inaugurated and blessed by Most Rev. Ramon

Arguelles D.D. In 2008, the MANCOM(Management Committe) was formed to assist the School Director in the

formulation and review of educational policies. In June 2010, Mrs Lilibeth M. Enriquez was assigned as the High

School Principal.For this school year SY. 2015-2016,Our Archbishop,MOST REV.RAMON C. ARGUELLES, D.D.,has

decided to bring in MORE EXPERTISE and EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE to ur school. Last February 25, 2015 he

appointed REV. FR. RICARDO A. PANGANIBAN, DR. RANDY BAJA and REV. FR. MIGUEL L. SAMANIEGO to

manage the Unified Schools of te Archiocese of Lipa (USAL). Fr. Ricardo A. Panganiban is now the School Head

and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of STA, Dr. Randy Baja will be his Vice President for Academics and Fr. Miguel

L. Samaniego will be his Vice President for finance and administration, Mrs Lilibeth Enriquez,as the School

Principal and COO(Chief Operations Officer) and Mrs. Nelia G, Maldia is the Assistant Principal.As the school

celebrate its 97th Founding Anniversary, the administration and the whole working force of STA are looking

forward to journey with you this school year towards a BETTER and MORE PROGRESSIVE ST. THOMAS

ACADEMY.
